PIV Units (positive input ventilation) are a great way of increasing ventilation throughout the whole home.

These units pump fresh filtered air into your property which solve many issues.

How do PIV units work ?

PIV units are normally placed in a suitable loft spaces and gently introduce fresh filtered air into your home which causes a positive air pressure in the home. As the air in your home circulates it pushes stale air out through the the many natural leakage points such as windows under doors and even keyholes in doors to mention a few.

There are different types of PIV Units depending on your properties set up.

This type of PIV unit is called a Flatmaster and is specifically for properties without a loft space.

this was a unit we fitted in Hucknall Nottinghamshire as the property had a loft conversion so there was nowhere to fit a loft mounted PIV unit.

Ventilation is the key to a mould and damp free home.

All bathrooms and toilets need extractor fans to help remove humidity from showering and general stale or smelly air and the use of a extractor fan in conjunction with a PIV unit is strongly recommended .

Broken or damaged extractor fan replacement.

We can replace and upgrade existing extractor fan units that may no longer work.

Many small wall and ceiling fans offer little change of air so we can upgrade to high flow units that actually work.
