The first thing to check when you lose power is is there a power cut.
Check with your neighbors to see if they have lost power too and if this is the case you may need to call the supply network provider on 105 from your mobile phone and report the problem.They are very quick and normally respond within a hour of your call.
My circuit breaker or RCD has tripped and won't reset.
The first thing to do if this happens is go round and unplug every (it is very important to unplug items and not just switch the switch off)
Once you have done this make sure all your circuit breakers or fuses are off and then switch your RCD back on and individually switch each circuit back on until the power trips again and this indicates which circuit has the problem.
If the power stays on after this stage above it's time to start plugging appliances back in as you may have a faulty item and this will identify the defective item, these are quite often something like a fridge or washing machine or boiler that has gone faulty.
