The market for domestic CCTV has changed significantly in the last few years with the advent of wireless camera solutions that work reliably and provide superb value for money and features such as advanced person tracking and vehicle tracking and the ability to read number plates.
We have done extensive testing of these newer ultra high definition cameras and there is one clear winner in our opinion. There are several solar powered cameras on the market but we have through our own trials found these to be not fit for purpose in the British winter time due to very little sunshine.
Our solution to this is to permanently power these types of cameras for all year round reliability.
Unlike most other Wi-Fi-dependent cameras, these cameras can work as stand-alone units with their own built-in storage and do not require a subscription. If Wi-Fi drops out, these cameras still operate correctly, capturing footage directly to the onboard storage.
All our cameras can be viewed on a smartphone or Alexa device—just ask.
Alexa integration is available for all your devices, so all you have to say is, “Alexa, show me the driveway,” and your camera appears with video and audio. Eufy doorbell cameras can also provide motion-detection announcements to alert you when a person enters one of your selected detection areas.
We can professionally install a wired system to a neat and tidy standard and conceal wires within the building fabric where possible, as nobody wants to see wires on the outside of their home. Sometimes, it is not possible to conceal all the wiring, but we take the time to ensure that any visible wiring is clipped neatly and kept to a minimum. We do not run wires through the cavity, as this can create a bridge for water ingress to internal walls and may eventually cause damp patches. Any installer using this method is not following building regulations guidance. We have all seen people on Facebook offering four cameras supplied and fitted for only £299, using the cheapest possible equipment and providing no comeback when something goes wrong. That is not us. We charge more for a reason: you have someone who will return if there is a fault and help when you are unsure how to use the system.
We offer all types of CCTV cameras and continue to support older analogue systems as well as IP camera systems. We offer cameras with a minimum resolution of 5 MP and recommend installing the highest-quality cameras your budget will allow. Newer cameras offer resolutions as high as 16 and 32 megapixels, providing pin-sharp images that can capture a clear view of a person, vehicle or registration plate. We strongly believe there is little point in installing a system with poor image quality. We offer a range of cameras, including colour night-vision cameras and traditional infrared night-vision cameras.
All of our cameras have audio functions that can be heard through your smart device or television, and some have built-in speakers for two-way audio to warn away potential intruders.
We can replace faulty cameras or recorder boxes, as well as repair wiring faults. I have over 35 years’ experience in the installation and repair of camera systems, so you’re in good hands.
